THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU !!!

We had such a great time at our 50th wedding anniversary and hope that everyone who attended did as well!

Some highlights included our exchange of vows at the Chapel in the Woods at Rocky Fork Lake State Park where we first said our "I do's" on July 26, 1975. While it was a very hot day, it was so nice to have our sons and daughters-in-law involved and our grandchildren participating in the wedding party. Our son, Pastor Wade Coffey, presided at the renewal of vows and son Colin provided the sound system. Susan and Ashley Coffey were instrumental in the planning of our big day and making sure everything turned out well for us.

The party at the Hillsboro Orpheum was amazing and the air conditioning was much appreciated. Excellent food from the staff at Sassafras Kitchen and dessert goodies including wedding cake, cupcakes and cookies from Batter Up Bakery, plus homemade ice cream from Margie and Phil Free really hit the spot.

Colin oversaw the playing of the Coffey family slide show and out 50th anniversary playlist of great romantic songs.

We even worked in some dancing and had an opportunity to tell our guests how we met and came to be a couple. Ron's Best Man Chet gave a toast and even tried to replicate his 1975 perm with a curly wig. Thanks for the extra effort Chet!

Thanks to everyone who helped in any way, and there were many of you! Thanks to those who attended and shared in our special day. The cards, gifts and donations to the Greenfield Foundation were very thoughtful and we just want to say thanks once again!

While we don't yet have the "official" photos from our Golden Anniversary, we have a pretty nice collection from family and friends, so some of them are posted above to document the big day.

Thanks to everyone with much love! - Ron & Dianna

NO GIFTS PLEASE!

Seriously, we are trying to downsize. We have been in the same house for more than 40 years and don’t want any gifts. We just want to have a party and celebrate being married for 50 years.
If you want to do something nice for our community, a small donation to The Greenfield Foundation, P.O. Box 420, Greenfield, OH 45123 -- or the charity of your choice -- would be appreciated.
Ron has been involved with the Greenfield Foundation since it was created in 1999.

We look forward to sharing this special day with our children and grandchildren, with friends and relatives who may have been in attendance at the wedding 50 years ago,  and with longtime friends who hold a special place in our hearts.
